I took my first trip to Massachusetts for work, but the most memorable was during the first Covid summer. We drove all the way from Memphis to NY, camped in the car, and then made it to Boston the following day. We spent I think two weeks there before driving to Wisconsin. It was pretty, and well, as most American cities, expensive.

However all I think about sometimes is a poke place. Like, seriously, I tried to replicate everything once and I failed. This place really lives rent free in my head.

I honestly didn’t think I’d return, however during Memorial Day weekend, I returned to celebrate a special occasion.

Unfortunately the poke place was closed. I’m not sure if I’ve forgiven myself for missing yet another opportunity.

Sometimes food just gets you like that.

Anyways… now that I lost all the things I was going to say about Salem and Boston….

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Okay, actually one thing:

In the cemetery there was a tombstone that read “The Christian Wife of (insert man’s name here) and then in small letters the wife’s name.

She deserved better.

Until next time and the next adventure,

Carrie.
