I have a habit of looking down when I walk.

I would assume that some would argue that it is a terrible habit to have. While I would agree most times, sometimes I find pretty things.

In Lomé, it happens much less than I’d like it to, but then again, I don’t really go out.

Here’s some ground items and photos from an artist conclave:

And then I look up and see the buildings. It’s a pretty different standard than in America and other places.

If concrete jungle sky lines are more your thing, this post probably isn’t it. And while Lomé seems like a concrete capital, it’s not home to a ton of tall buildings. Yet.

But there’s something to the faded paint on these buildings and the colonial shutter style.

Which is your favorite?

If I could only choose a favorite.

If we could only know the history these walls and doors have seen.

And what they will see remains unknown.

Until my trip on the next path,

Carrie.

Your photography is exceptional…. Maybe from grandpa. I look down as well but it’s so I don’t trip 😂
